it all went horribly wrong - saved powerpoint

This is the first time I have used this forum and I was driven to it by my last interview.
I had worked hard on producing a good visual and informative powerpoint (nothing fancy but good images and I hope good content).
I had saved it to a floppy, CD and 'memory stick'. I only printed out one handout for myself as I was so sure one of these would work for me. Unfortunately, although they all showed that the information was saved, it would not open on their equipment. I'm not great with technology and hopefully there is a simple solution. Does anyone know why this would happen and how I can rectify it? please.

I found that it was because their version was different to mine. microsoft 2003 doesn't open with saved work from 2000 (but that was in word).
no information on how to rectify it, sorry.
