PowerPoint diagram

Hello, I've just joined the forum.
I need to draw a triangle representing a 5-step pyramid ( a bit like Maslow's)
and I would like to fill each level with a different colour to highlight the contrast between them; but as I use the drawing toolbar, all I can manage is a single colour triangle. Is there a way to get round the problem using the toolbar or do I need another PP compatible software?

Thanks for any hints

Elizabeth,

You Don't mention what version of powerpoint you are using....

If you are using powerpoint version 2003, there is a nice new feature on the drawing toolbar called "insert diagram" > "pyramid diagram". You can then tell powerpoint how many rows you want and how to color the diagram.

For previous versions you're left with drawing them yourself by hand with the "polygon" tool.

Or consider something like "smart draw"

Cheers
