reply to your post,

Hi there, firstly sorry to hear about your loss.

When i wrote a eulogy poem for my grandma after her death, it came as inspiration late at night. I sat down and watched my favourite film, that just happened to be on the TV that night. When it was done, i went on the PC and just started writing. And it worked.

When you try to write a peom it is hard, just remember a few of these points and hopefully it will become a little easier,

1) not all poems have to ryme. if you try and make words ryme, it becomes harder to write, and often the words that you want to say are changed for ones that ryme, loosing alot of meaning to the poem.

2) i always imagine myself talking to the person i am writing the poem about, for example with you, try writing what you would say to your Grandnana given a chance. Tell her what she was like to you, how you felt towards her and maybe look at a certain time you spent together. I find that doing it this way, once you start the momentum carries you through to the end.

3)Finally, try and look to the positives. What she did that made you laugh, or admire her.

I really hope that this has helped you.
