One Slide, Two Animated GIF's

Here is the effect I'm trying to produce...
An Animated Gif opens with the slide...
...in flies a bit of text...
...the first Animated Gif then gets swapped for the second Animated Gif, which "disolves" on top of it...
...etc..etc...

Here's the problem. Both Animated Gifs work fine on their own, but put two onto the same slide, and the first one works fine, but the second (replacement) Animated Gif is stuck on Frame 1.

Just a thought...Would the fact that the second Animated Gif is set up to run through 25 frames and stop, and not just loop indefinately?

Does anyone have an idea as to why this should be? Better still, does anyone kow how to get around the problem? Or will I need to split the slide into two?

Set the second one to run indefinately and this should fix
the problem. I just tried your sample and both gifs worked
fine.
gif - then text- then disolve - then new gif enters

You could also do :
gif - then text - then disolve but have the new gif enter
" with previous " for a smoother transition or not...
