automatic create icon from first slide

Is there a tool that will extract the first slide in a .ppt file and create an icon from it.

You can either save the powerpoint first slide as a picture. In PowerPoint/saves as/ and then select .Jpeg for instance.

If you know VBA you can export the slide as a thumbnail by playing about with a macro
