master template Designs on MAC PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi,
I still have not found an answer to the mac Design templates problem!
can't anyone help??? Why would mac make it sooo complicated.

I have designed 10 different design templates for my project.
when I save them as a design template on PC, all of them save and when i open them, they all show up as icons on the right of my screen in a nice little window and i can visually select each one and say "apply to selected slide" and change slide designs very easilly.

BUT on mac NO! It will only save the first slide design, all of them are NOT there

also on mac. How do you apply a drsign template, if you go into formatt, slide design, apply template, you cannot select from a nice bunch of icons and pictures, you can only select from from design templates you saved, and since the 10 designs i saved only saved the first one, when i click on apply slide design, only tyhe first master in that batch of 10 masters applys to the selected slide.
WHY? in PC you dont have to go through all that malarky, you just look to your design template window, all !) of the design templates would be there, you click on the one you want and "apply to selected slide"

what if i already have a presentation open with masters in mac.
when you click "add new slide" the slide will be adde dwith whatever nmaster is used in the slide before it.
but, in your master view lets say you haev 6 different slide designd you can apply.. how do you apply them?
in pc, again they will show up on the right as "recently used" or "used in this prresentation" NOT in mac.
Why can i go into master view, select the design i want, and apply it to my current selected slide.
????
