How can I reduce the size of a powerpoint presentation?

I am using Office 2003 and the size of a presentation is very big...100-200 mb and it makes it difficult to e-mail it...how can I reduce the size of it? I use custom animation and sound attached to it... 10X!

The first approach would be to compress the pictures within PowerPoint. If you select the picture toolbar there is an option on it to compress pictures, this should dramatically reduce the file size of the presentation.

The second approach would be to use an external PowerPoint compressing software such as nxplite. The only thing to watch out for is not to overcompress the presentation.
