Audience Interaction
Hi I am a second year applied social studies student and I have to do a ten minute presentation on where I did my work based learning. We have to talk about the agency itself, our role within it (I think the structure of it as well) and then about our personal learning styles. I worked with one lady in particular in a caring capacity for my local council and am a pragmatic learner (I don't expect that to mean much to you)
I would like to do something to involve the audience (all in the same boat just different placements in the health and social care sector) or just a novel way to present my material (without necessarily using PowerPoint) any ideas? Anything at all would be helpful Thanks very much |

Audience interaction is a very good thing - the only difficulty is that after the BBC TV programme The Office was screened it has become more difficult.
It often works well if you have some props to help you. One simple idea is to do silhouettes and ask the audience to guess them. I have also seen the placing of three items on a table and ask the audience to guess what they have in common. Perhaps the easiest way to get interactive is to base your session on the theme of a TV game show. This way everyone already understands the rules. It could be Who wants to be a Millionaire or Have I got news for you but perhaps not You are the weakest link. It will certainly be memorable. Whichever route you decide please could you let me know how it goes. If you need any more ideas please drop me a line. |
