Media Clip Object Vanished !

Using Powerpoint 2002. Up until today I have been inserting media clips by using both options: insert video and insert object: media clip... I tried today to insert an object (media clip, windows media file...) but when I put insert object, the selection for media clip was absent. I am still able to play other clips that were inserted this way in the past. Also, when I play another file in ppt using the insert video, I click on the video and it goes blank. Any thoughts ??
