Keynote 8
PowerPoint’s alter ego Keynote has been updated in Apple’s recent revamp of its iWork Software. Since there is still no native version of PowerPoint for Intel Macs, and since Microsoft’s Office 2004 runs like an injured snail on the new Macs under Rosetta, iWork and particularly Keynote may be worth considering for your presentations. Here are six new additions to our range of free business PowerPoint templates. The templates contain complementary colour schemes and some example layouts and text, all of which are fully editable.

Free icons of everyday gadgets
We’ve been hard at work at Presentation Helper and created some technology-based icons for you to download as either PowerPoint slides or individual png files. The files include images of mp3 players, mobile phones, lcd screens and other day-to-day gadgets. These images have many uses; for example they could be used to illustrate modern technology within a slide presentation or as icons for web sites.

Writing a best man’s speech is easier than you may think. In this short ‘manual’, if you like, I will take you through all you need to write a great best man’s speech.

When I write a best man’s speech, I always picture a close friend with his partner. Obviously you will have these people in mind. The first thing I do is make a list of things that I need to include, these are
Pushed for time and need to put together your best man speech?
Don’t worry here is an example that Ryan has written for you. All you need to do is to fill in the blanks.
When Tom asked me to be his best man, at first I was over the moon, firstly that he was going to marry the woman that he loves, and secondly that he had asked me to be his best man. Then a few pints later, it dawned on me. The speech. Choking on my beer at the realisation that I would have to stand up and talk in front of his family and closest friends, I started shaking and told him that I didn’t think that I could do it. Then he reassured me, he said, “all you have got to do is stand up, look a little idiotic, tell a few jokes and be confident.” Taking this on board, here I am. (Read more…)
