Flipping Slide

I created a new presentation from an old one I had. Once I had created one particular slide I clicked to the right of the slide and the slide flipped through 180 degrees without any intervention by me. I can get it back by clicking on the slide then right clicking and choosing Slide Object/Edit and then left clicking - some times I have to click a copuple of times before it comes back. However as soon as I click again the slide flips through 180 degrees. I have gone into Drawing tool bar and into Draw and selected Rotate or Flip but nothing is highlighted on the drop down. How do I get my slide back to normal and keep it that way?
