Animation Problem: how can i stop a loop?

hi all,

Some pages which include animations got a infinite loop on edit mode so that It's hard to edit the page as animations are looping very fast.
This works proper during a slide show or on some other computers.. so strange.
How can I stop this loop? What causes this problem?

Thanks.

Your post, if I'm reading it right, sounds like the 'bug' where the screen redraws several times while in 'edit' mode of your presentation.

The fix for this is to either update your 'graphics card' drivers, or to turn down "hardware acceleration" which sounds painful.

see

Cheers

Upgrading graphics card drivers was a stupid suggestion

I have the same issue with Powerpoint. My Graphics card drivers are up to date. I have the problem on some presentations, not others. So turning down hardware acceleration isn't the issue.

I've had this problem "develop" before. I installed Microsoft's service pack and the problem worsened. I ended up un-installing and re-installing the entire Office system. The presentation's are still screwed up. If I open a presentation that is working, and a presentation that was previously afflicted with this flaw, the flaw transfers to the new presentation.

This has the footprint of virus, or a critical flaw in Microsoft's product. As if that was news.

The only fix to the problem that I have found is to create a new presentation and re-enter any information. Do not copy any portion of the file that is not working correctly. Especially Macros.

The real problem is Microsoft's intentionally poor development methodologies.

There is no acceptable reason for a company with programmers that make a million plus dollars a year, and have background with Stanford, MIT, Harvard and Princeton to make software that functions this poorly or has this many "security flaws." And instead of doing what is necessary to fix the software they blame hardware.

It really just ticks me off.
